SAY WHAT...
"When you are playing for a championship and in a highly competitive game like this, you have to be able to continue to raise your level. We were solid in the first half but when they raised their level in the second half we weren't able to match it. Give them credit for their defensive play, especially in the second half, because the just dominated us in every aspect. They were able to make all the toughness plays - getting second chance points and hitting some big shots. We had some of the same looks in the second half that we had in the first but just weren't able to get them to do down. This team competed all year and I'm proud of how they played. Congratulations to FGCU, I think they will represent the ASUN well in the NCAA Tournament and have the pieces to be a tough out." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
