Career High 39 by Dallas Moore Carries UNF to Win Over Lipscomb

The Short Story: Senior Dallas Moore scorched the nets for a career high 39 points as North Florida topped ASUN leader Lipscomb, 93-82, in conference action Thursday night in Nashville. With the win, UNF moved into a tie with USC Upstate for third-place in the league standings with two games remaining.

OPENING TIP
- Moore notched his 12th 30-point outing of his career and the 9th of the season with his career best effort. With his total, Moore upped his career scoring total to 2,323 and collected several milestones including becoming the all-time leading scorer in Division I for the state of Florida and moving into 2nd-place in the ASUN Conference for career points. In addition, Moore eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in ASUN games only (1,032).
- The freshmen duo of Wajid Aminu (19) and Garrett Sams (17) both also reached double-figures in the win for UNF. Aminu added 7 rebounds and 3 blocks while Sams handed out 3 assists.
- Chris Davenport only attempted two shots but made his presence felt finishing with team highs in rebounds (8), assists (6) and steals (2)
- Rob Marberry finished with a double-double (26 pts/ 10 rebs) to pace the Bisons, who had three other players reach double figures
- Ospreys shot 61 percent from the floor for the game, the highest shooting performance of the season against Lipscomb, highlighted by a 68% clip (17-25) in the decisive second half

First Half Trends
- UNF struggled early in the game making just 1 of first 5 shots and committing three turnovers in the opening four minutes of play as Lipscomb jumbe in front, 9-2
- Romelo Banks scored four straight points to spark a 12-0 run that saw the Ospreys earn their first lead of the night... The surge was part of a 19-3 run giving North Florida its largest lead of the first half, 21-12, with 10:54 left in the period
- Lipscomb battled back behind an 8-2 spurt that trimmed the Osprey lead to just two with five minutes remaining in the stanza
- Game settled into a back-and-forth battle over the next several minutes until UNF closed out the half on a 7-2 run. The Ospreys led 41-33 at the break.
 
Second Half Trends
- Ospreys started the second half with three turnovers and a missed shot as Lipscomb eventually retook the lead, 47-46, behind a 14-5 run through the first four minutes
- Aminu had a pair of buckets around a Moore free throw as the Ospreys edged back in front
- The Bisons would knot the score at 51-51 with 12:22 left to play, but North Florida answered with a trey by Sams and a layup for Moore to grab a lead they would never relinquish
- Lipscomb kept the game a one-possession deficit for several minutes before Sams and Moore again combined for five straight points widening the margin to eight points
- UNF pushed the lead to double-digits, 73-62, at the 4:01 mark and kept a comfortable lead the remainder of the game
