Ospreys Open Home Slate against Warner on Monday

JACKSONVILLE - North Florida women's basketball opens its home schedule on Monday in its annual Elementary School Day game hosting Warner at 11 a.m. in UNF Arena.

LAST TIME vs WARNER
  • Four players scored in double figures as UNF won 72-44. 
  • Kirsten Clement recorded a season-high 12 points, while Adrienne Jackson and Hadley Kiefer each recorded 11. 
  • The Ospreys show a solid 58 percent in the first half before struggling from the field at a 29 percent clip in the second frame.
  • UNF limited its turnovers to just 10.

OPENING TIP
North Florida opens  its home schedule against Warner for the annual Elementary School Day. It is the first time the Ospreys have played the Royals to open the season.

UNF is 1-1 on November 13 with its win coming in Gibbs' first season as head coach at UMKC.

OPEN THE SEASON
In home openers, UNF is 12-1 overall with 11 victories coming during the Division II era. 

NEW FACES, FRESH LOOK
The team welcomes three transfers to the 2017-18 squad. Ty Purifoy brings two national championships from the junior college level, while Keonna Farmer is a Division I fifth-year transfer from UAB. Arianna Emanuel-Wright joins the Ospreys after earning All-American sec ond team honors at Sante Fe.

WIDE EYED READY TO GO
North Florida welcomes four freshman to its lineup. Elli Bartley will be out of the line up for a bit due to an injury sustained her senior year, while Tiffany Tolbert, Ta'Kyla Austin and Rhetta Moore are ready to jump in and make an impact.

COMING UP
North Florida takes to the road for its next four contests with Morehead State and West Virginia on tap first on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
