OPENING TIP
- Dallas Moore scored just one basket in the first 16 minutes of the game but scored 6 points in UNF's 12-2 closing run in the first half. Moore added 15 second half points en route to collecting the 45th 20-point scoring performance of his career and his 11th of the season.
- Freshman Wajid Aminu nearly had a double-double in his ASUN debut finishing with 16 points and 9 rebounds, while senior Chris Davenport stuffed the stat sheet posting 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and a blocked shot. Freshman Garrett Sams netted 10 points as the fourth double-digit scorer for the Ospreys.
- The Ospreys committed a season low 11 turnovers in the contest while turning 18 JU miscues into 24 points. It was the first game this season that UNF had less turnovers than its opponent.
- Jacksonville had four players notch double figures led by Tanner Rubio with 17 points including making 5 of 8 treys

GAME CAPSULE
First Half Trends
- The Ospreys raced out of the blocks using a 12-2 start including 10 consecutive points to grab a lead they would never surrender. Moore's three-pointer, his lone bucket in the first 16 minutes of play, capped the surge.
- North Florida would maintain a multi-possession advantage for much of the opening frame but a three-pointer by Tanner Rubio with 4:23 left in the half trimmed the UNF lead to just three, 27-24.
- UNF would score 10 of the next 13 points to push the lead back to double figures and closed the period with a 12-2 spurt en route to holding a 44-29 halftime lead.
- The Ospreys shot 52% (17-33) from the field in the first half while limiting the Dolphins to just 31% (9-29).

Second Half Trends
- The two squads settled into a frenetic back-and-forth pace to start the second half with the Ospreys keeping their double figure advantage.
- A 7-0 spurt midway through the session allowed North Florida to push their lead over 20, 59-37, with 12:39 remaining in the game.
- UNF would lead by as many as 23 before a late charge by Jacksonville closed the gap to 14 in the closing minutes. The Dolphins would get no closer though as the Ospreys cruised to their fourth consecutive victory in their rivals home court.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- The victory marked the first road win of the season for the Ospreys, who snapped an 8-game skid away from UNF Arena.
- The win was the 150th career coaching victory for Matthew Driscoll

SAY WHAT...
"This was definitely a total team effort. We got great contributions from many different players tonight. We played the non-conference schedule that we did in order to provide our guys the opportunities to compete and tonight we were able to use some of the things that we learned during those games. We've had some great practices lately and if you came and watched you would not have thought that our team was 5-12 because we were practicing like a team that was rolling. Wajid Aminu was a beast  and I thought that Chris Davenport probably had one of the best games of his career. I also thought that Osborn Blount provided us a good lift off the bench with his defensive effort and making a few shots too. We are excited to open up ASUN play with a road win and be 1-0. -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll

NEXT UP
- The Ospreys continue their ASUN schedule opening road swing with games at USC Upstate (Jan. 12) and NJIT (Jan. 14). UNF makes its ASUN home debut against Kennesaw State on Jan. 19.
