Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Lipscomb

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After more than 20 days away from UNF Arena, the North Florida women's basketball team returns home to play ASUN foe Lipscomb on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT...
- North Florida came out of the gates firing at USC Upstate to secure its first ASUN victory ... Tesh Hanson recorded a double-double with a career-best 27 points and 12 rebounds, while three others scored in double figures.
- Despite Loren Cagle nearly posting a triple-double with eight rebounds and 11 assists, to go along with nine points and three steals, the Lady Bisons lost 91-66 to Stetson ... Lipscomb shot 41 percent from the floor and 47 percent from long range, making nine triples.

#FlyHigh QUICK HITS
- The eight total wins this season surpass the Ospreys seven total from 2016. UNF finished the ASUN season 7-23 overall and 3-11 last year
- When UNF scores 70 or more points it is 11-1 under Coach Gibbs and 7-0 this season with 70+.
- Tesh Hanson recorded back-to-back double-doubles at NJIT and USC Upstate.
- For the 4th time this season, four or more players scored in double figures.

North Florida owns a 5-1 record on this date. The Ospreys last played at Mercer in 2012 when UNF took home the 49-39 win.

LAST TIME VS THE BISONS
Lipscomb shot 47 percent from the field and 44 percent from long range to upset the Ospreys. The Bisons had 12 total three pointers including a 4-for-4 performance from Amber Fuqua off the bench. North Florida was able to outscore the home team in the third quarter, but it was too late.

LONG RANGE STREAKING
The Ospreys have made at least one 3-pointer in 50 consecutive games dating back to 2/25/15 when FGCU held them without a longball (0-8). North Florida ranks 2nd in the ASUN with 108 triples.

SNAP IT
UNF's win on Monday at USC Upstate snapped a 10-game losing streak AT Hodge Center. The Ospreys last won in Spartanburg on Feb. 9, 2002.

OFF THE GLASS
North Florida is averaging 37.6 rebounds per game to rank second in the ASUN. With 25.1 of those rebounds coming on the defensive end, UNF is in third in the ASUN.

SEEING DOUBLE
Junior TESH HANSON recorded back-to-back doubles on the latest road trip. She had 14 points and 10 rebounds at NJIT and followed that up with a career-high 27 points and 12 rebounds at USC Upstate.
