NEWARK, N.J. - NJIT rallied from a halftime deficit and outscored North Florida women's basketball in the final quarters to win the game, 64-62, on Saturday afternoon at the Fleisher Athletic Center.

The Short Story: A late three-pointer from Alana Dudley capped an NJIT rally throughout the second half to out score the Ospreys 39-32 to gain its first ASUN win of the season.

First Half Trends
- Ioannidis opened with a three-pointer to start a 7-0 run for UNF.
- NJIT had two brief leads in during the frame, but both times the Ospreys had answers. Freshman Adrienne Jackson came back up the floor and hit a triple to put UNF back on top at 11-10.
- After Dudley's three-pointer to tie the game at 15, Shepherd dished in a pass to Hanson who hit last-second lay in to give the Ospreys a 17-15 lead.
- NJIT held the Ospreys without a basket for more than two minutes as it tied the game at 20-all in the second quarter. 
- UNF regained the lead as Jaiveonna Norris converted a basket after Ioannidis stole the ball and fed it to Norris in the paint.
- The Highlanders answered on the other side of the court and took the lead on back-to-back baskets from Tatianna Torres.
- From there, UNF closed the half on an 8-1 run, capped by another late basket from Hanson as UNF took a 30-25 lead into halftime.

Second Half Trends
- Out of the break, NJIT used a 12-5 run to lead 37-35.
- It was evenly matched over the next six minutes of the game, but the early run gave NJIT a slight 49-48 lead after three.
- UNF used a 13-6 run to lead 61-55 on a Jackson lay in with 3:25 to play, but NJIT slowly chipped away at the lead with a pair of perfect outings at the line to pull within two.
- Hanson was 1-for-1 at the line before Tatianna Torres hit a mid-range jumper to close the gap to one, 62-61. 
- Off a jump ball turnover, the Highlanders drew up a play to put Alana Dudley in the perfect spot to sink her second triple of the day and she did so without hesitation to give the home team the victory.
