Game Summary
With the Ospreys trailing 3-1 going into the second half, Bredeau single-handedly brought the Ospreys back within the first five minutes of the final frame. Already with the Ospreys first goal of the day, Bredeau scored twice in a one-minute, 11-second span to tie the game up at three. Alabama State re-took the lead on a penalty kick goal by Imna Martinez, her second of the day in the 59th minute. A little over four minutes later, Sarah Wasser tied the game up on her own penalty kick conversion. The PK goal was the second of her career.

The Ospreys took the lead for good in the 72nd minute on play started on an Osprey throw-in attempt. Wasser threw it to the feet of Bredeau deep in the Hornet zone. Bredeau played the ball right back to Wasser who then served it right into the box to a waiting Katy Mixon for the game-winning score.

Bredeau totaled seven points (3g, 1a) in the contest, a new North Florida D-1 era (2006-present) single-game record. Wasser and Collubiale each had two assists, tied for the second most in a single-game in the Ospreys D-1 era.

Additional Game Notes
-Susie Ford played the final 45 minutes, allowed only the penalty kick goal and made one save.
-The Ospreys outshot the Hornets 22-12, each team had nine shots on goal
-The five North Florida goals are the most scored in a game under Head Coach Robin Confer and the most since the Ospreys scored 10 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sept. 13, 2013.
-Almost nine years ago to the day, the Ospreys scored 13 goals against Alabama State on Sept. 2, 2007, the second most in a game in the program's history.

From Coach Confer
On the comeback win:
"It certainly wasn't the way we drew it up but I'm proud of our team for fighting back after being down 3-1 at the half. We challenged our players at halftime and some players stepped up and had a big second half for us."

On her goal scorers:
"AB finished off three great chances and it was nice for Sarah and Katy to get their first goals of the season. Hopefully they can use this as a building block for the rest of the season."

Up Next: The Ospreys will hit the road for matches at Furman (Friday) and Presbyterian (Sunday) next weekend.
