HOW IT HAPPENED
North Florida was behind 17-11 in the opening frame to force a timeout. The Ospreys then went on a 16-5 tear through the end to take the opening set. The Ospreys then ran past the Rattlers in the second frame with just two tie scores. With the score knotted at 13, a kill from Turner and three straight errors from FAMU pushed North Florida ahead where it remained as it completed a 12-3 run to go up 2-0 heading into the break.
It was a tale of two sets though as FAMU came out of the locker room ready to play as they took the third and fourth sets. UNF had just nine kills in the third set and then hit just .064 to force a fifth set.
UNF then dominated in the final set as it hit .412. The Rattlers lead in the early part of the set at 5-2, but then UNF went on a 10-2 run to swing momentum in its favor. Back-to-back aces from the visitors looked like the match would continue, but a final kill from
Katarina Raicevic gave the Ospreys the victory.
