BOCA RATON, Fla. - North Florida volleyball took down Bethune-Cookman in the early match of the FAU invite, 3-1, but dropped a decision to Northeastern by the same score in the closing match at FAU Arena.

Game 1
The Ospreys bounced back from hitting below .100 in the opening set to having two straight sets with a .300 and above attack percentage. Freshman
Gabby O'Connell recorded her second double-double of the weekend with 16 kills and 11 digs, while
Carina Hoff and
Katarina Raicevic posted 12 and 11 kills, respectively.
Ashley LaBorde narrowly missed a double-double with a career-high nine assists and 22 digs. Junior transfer
Madilyn McCarty made her debut with 37 assists, five kills, and three block assists.
Game 2
North Florida grabbed the first set against the Huskies, but Northeastern got things going and shut down the Ospreys to take the victory in the final three frames.
Courtney Miller had a career-high 17 kills to go along with 10 digs, while Raicevic added 14 more kills to her stat line. Despite being limited in her kills with just four, O'Connell found another way to be effective with a match-best three aces.
On the Weekend
Senior
Carina Hoff had 52 kills and hit .274 across the four games.
Carinne Turner posted 72 assists and 25 digs in 15 total sets, while
Madilyn McCarty dished out 58 assists in just eight sets.

Morgan Van Alstine moved up the career record book and now is just 15 behind the third spot of 340. She recorded 10 block assists on the day.
- UNF moves to 3-1 on the season and it is the second straight year that the Ospreys began with that record.
- UNF and Northeastern had never met prior to today's match.
