JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Softball team dropped their final game of their A-Sun Conference series with Stetson 8-0 in five innings Sunday afternoon at the UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys (12-18, 1-2 A-Sun) will now be off for a 10-day stretch.
The Hatters (23-12, 2-1 A-Sun) started off the game with a run in the top of the first off of a RBI double.
After three scoreless innings, Stetson broke the game open in the top of the fifth, scoring seven runs on nine hits, including two bases-clearing triples to push their lead to 8-0.
The Ospreys couldn't score in the bottom half of the inning, ending the game in five innings via run-rule.
North Florida will be off for 10 days, they'll play a doubleheader against Florida A&M in non-conference play on March 30, before traveling to Kennesaw State for A-Sun play on April 2-3.
