TAMPA, Fla. – The North Florida Softball team dropped their final game of the weekend 12-1 in five innings to host USF Sunday afternoon at the USF Softball Stadium as part of the Under Armour Showcase.
 
The Ospreys close their tournament weekend at 3-2.
 
USF opened up the scoring in the first with a solo shot, they added two runs in the second inning to make the game 3-0, before a nine-run third inning pushed the lead to 12-0 after three innings.
 
The Ospreys scored their lone run of the game in the top of the fourth, when freshman Minnie Cocuzza scored senior Stacy McClelland on a RBI single to left field.
 
North Florida couldn't break through the Bulls defense to avoid the run-rule, ending the game after five innings.

The Ospreys have closed their tournament play portion of the season and will host No. 19 Tennessee Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the UNF Softball Complex.
