NOTABLES
- For the second straight year, UNF hosts a New Year's Classic. UNF dropped both games in the Classic in 2015, but it was before the holiday break.
- Wofford is no stranger to the UNF staff as head coach Gibbs graduated from there in 2000, while assistant coach Jessica Taylor followed in 2002.
- North Florida has outrebounded its opponents 6 times this season. Last year, the Ospreys only grabbed more boards 9 total times.
- When UNF scores 70 or more points they are likely to win as the Ospreys are 9-1 under Coach Gibbs and 5-0 this season with 70+.
- Defensively, the Ospreys have also excelled in getting blocked shots this season. They have recorded four or more blocks in seven of 12 games played this season.
- After nine consecutive double-digit scoring games to start the year, Claire Ioannidis' streak was broken at Bethune-Cookman. She came back and scored 11 at FSU.
- North Florida is 6-0 when leading at the half and 8-1 under coach Gibbs.
-The Ospreys return 84% of their scoring from 2015-16.

AN OSPREY WIN ON FRIDAY WOULD...
- Be the 329th win in program history
- Be the 5th win on a Friday under coach Gibbs
- Be the 7th non-conference victory of UNF
- Be Head Coach Gibbs 14th win
- Match the Ospreys total victories from the 2015 season

ON THIS DAY
DECEMBER 30 - The Ospreys have played on the day before New Year's Eve 12 times and own a 7-5 mark. They have only played one time on this day in Division I history in 2008.
DECEMBER 31 - UNF is 2-5 on New Year's Eve, last playing in 2012 in a conference match up against Lipscomb where the Ospreys won.

HOME SWEET HOME
North Florida owns a 4-1 record at home and has been averaging more than 80.0 PPG in those contests.

LONG RANGE STREAKING
The Ospreys have made at least one 3-pointer in 45 consecutive games dating back to 2/25/15 when FGCU held them without a longball (0-8).

IOANNIDIS FOR THREE!
Senior CLAIRE IOANNIDIS has made 36 triples so far this season to rank 26th in the NCAA. She has six more than her total at this time last season. She is on track to finish her career in second for 3-pointers made in Osprey history.

UP NEXT
North Florida heads across town to open ASUN play as it plays Jacksonville on Saturday, January 7 at 1 p.m.
