Ospreys Head to Daytona to Face Bethune-Cookman

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball takes off to face Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach at the ICI Center at Embry Riddle on Thursday at 3 p.m.

THE SERIES: BCU leads 7-4
LAST MEETING: The Ospreys and Wildcats met early in 2015 with the Cats taking the 53-49 win in the first game of the UNF Thanksgiving Classic. Maiya Rumph totaled a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Sierra Shepherd added a team-high 12 points. A sluggish third quarter doomed the Ospreys as the Wildcats outscored them 20-13.

- North Florida let a game against Morehead State slip away on Tuesday as the Eagles won, 84-65 ... Simone Brown led the way with 15 points, while Tesh Hanson recorded a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds ... three others scored in double figures.

THREE'S NOT A CROWD HERE
Claire Ioannidis (13.5), Tesh Hanson (12.7) and Sierra Shepherd (10.0) are one of only three teammates to average 10.0 or more points per game this season so far in the ASUN.

In the first 11 games of 2016, the Ospreys have vastly improved on their numbers from a year ago. UNF is scoring 9.4 more points per game this season, while also grabbing almost four more rebounds per contest.
