HOW IT HAPPENED
The lead changed 16 times and knotted the score nine en route to two overtime periods. The Ospreys owned an edge in the second and fourth periods, while finally getting ahead at the line in the last frame. UNF led for eight minutes in the opening frame before a jumper and back-to-back triples gave the Owls a 21-16 lead after one.

In the second, a 6-0 run pushed UNF out front, but a trey on the other end gave FAU another lead. The advantage changed six more times over the next eight minutes, but it was a 6-0 run to take a 41-37 lead into the half. Over the next two periods, the teams traded leads five times and tied the game on a Hanson lay in with three seconds left in the game to force the overtime.

During the extra time, the visitors owned a 76-72 lead on a jumper from Raven Doyle, but a 5-1 run from the Ospreys tied the game. FAU took the lead again with a pair of free throw makes, but Hanson was once again there under pressure to lay in a basket to secure the second overtime.

Senior Karrah Johnson got things started in the final frame with a basket and after four straight makes from the line from Ioannidis and another basket from Johnson, the Ospreys held an 87-79 lead and never looked back. North Florida went 12-for-12 in the overtime period and shot 60 percent from the floor to secure the victory.
