HOW IT HAPPENED (25-18, 25-16, 25-21)
In set one, FAMU led from start to finish. The Ospreys closed the gap to three, 9-6, but it was as close as they got for the set. The hosts outhit UNF, .294 to .029 as the Rattlers only had one miscue. It was the same outcome in the second frame as the lone tie score came early at 4-all before an 8-4 run from FAMU gave the home team all they needed to take a 2-0 lead into the break.
Set three was the closest as it featured five tie scores and three lead changes with the final coming at 8-8. FAMU then jumped on an 11-5 run to stretch its lead to 19-13. The Ospreys closed the gap to three with a 5-2 run to pull within three, 21-18. UNF kept it close and forced a FAMU timeout at 23-20. The Rattlers then hit a kill to make it set point on Nair Canessa's serve. Freshman
Gabby O'Connell tossed a kill down to stave off one set point, but on the Ospreys' serve, the ball went just beyond the service line to close out the match.
