JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Despite a 1-0 loss at home to ASUN Regular Season Champion, FGCU (12-4-1, 6-0-1 ASUN, North Florida (6-8-2, 2-5 ASUN) is headed to the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament for the third consecutive season.

Match Summary
Shots on goal came at a premium for both teams but the Eagles made the most of their seventh corner kick attempt in the 70
th minute. Junior Meaghan Mulligan served the corner to the head of Lindsey Patton who flicked the ball on to Lauren Greene for the game's lone score. The goal was Greene's third of the season.
North Florida goalkeeper
Victoria Ekeli made the game's only save, a diving effort with 4:38 to keep the score 1-0. The Osprey defense kept the high-powered Eagle offense in check for the majority of the night. Over the first 45 minutes of play, FGCU managed only one shot.
On to the Postseason
The North Florida loss makes the Ospreys the 6
th seed in the ASUN Tournament setting up a road match at Stetson Saturday, Oct. 29. The Eagles clinch their seventh-straight ASUN Regular Season title and will host the semifinal and finals November 4-6.
