Match Summary
Without a goal in his first 20 collegiate games, Rosales scored two in a six-minute span to give the Ospreys a 2-0 lead at the half. He helped the Ospreys set the tone early when he ran down a
Jay Bolt pass in the sixth minute for his first collegiate score. Bolt's pass was served all the way from the Osprey 18 and tracked down by Rosales who beat the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situtation. The assist for Bolt was his ninth of his career and he is one shy of second spot on the D-1 era (2005-present) career assist list.
Just 5:18 later, Rosales was the beneficiary of a rebound off low shot by
Milan Kovacs that deflected to the far post where Rosales was waiting. Kovacs was credited with the assist and later scored in the 86' minute on a pass from freshman
Mikey Connell. Kovacs leads the team and is now fourth in the ASUN with 11 points (5g, 1a).
The story of the second half was Fajardo who denied two Lipscomb penalty kicks. The senior played the final 45 minutes and made a career-high four saves. He first turned away a freebee off the foot of Ivan Alvardo in the 76
th minute and eight minutes later denied Ivan Sakou. He and Tord Pederson (two saves) combined for the shutout.

From Coach Marinatos
On the first ASUN Win
"Great to start out with a conference win and be back at home. This is a good result for us. I'm happy we were able to bounce back from a tough loss last weekend, we certainly benefited from a full week of practice."
On the gameplay
"I thought we executed our game plan well especially in the first half. We were able to generate a lot of pressure that helped get the first two goals."
On Rosales and Fajardo
"I'm proud of Rosales, in his first start of the season. After getting the first one in he turned around and scored a finisher's goal. Our goalkeepers Tord (Pedersen) and Juanes (Fajardo) both made great saves throughout the night, couldn't ask for a better performance."
Up Next: The Ospreys will be back at home next Saturday to host NJIT (2-1 ASUN) for the first time ever as members of the ASUN. The two teams met for the first time in non-conference play in 2014, a 3-1 North Florida victory.
