JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida softball team finished their regular season with a 15-1 loss to the No. 9 Florida State Seminoles Sunday afternoon at the UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys close out their 2015 regular season at 30-26, they finished their conference slate earlier this season at 12-9 and await the A-Sun Postseason Tournament.
Florida State opened the game with two seven-run innings to put the game at 14-0 after two innings. The Seminoles added one more run in the top of the fourth off of a solo home run to push the lead to 15-0.
The Ospreys got their lone run on the board in the bottom of the fourth, as junior
Stacy McClelland scored on a wild pitch, putting the game at the eventual final of 15-1.
The Ospreys are seeded fourth in the conference tournament. They face Jacksonville Wednesday in Fort Myers, Fla., at 3 p.m. All games in the A-Sun tournament will be live streamed on ESPN3.
