JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida softball team fell to the Owls of Kennesaw State in the third and final game of their A-Sun conference series Sunday afternoon at the UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys (21-13, 3-3) and Owls (19-10, 2-4) end an evenly matched series with Kennesaw winning the series two games to one.
Both teams traded the lead early, North Florida scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first off a throwing error. Kennesaw State took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth with a RBI single and a SAC Fly.

Taylor Aguayo on a SAC fly to center field to tie the game at 2-2. Freshman
Ashley Niesman then followed with her fourth home run of the season to left-center field to give the Ospreys a 3-2 lead.
Kennesaw State tied the ball game in the top of the sixth with a RBI triple. The Owls then took a 5-3 lead in the top of the seventh inning with a two-run home run.
The Ospreys are on the road this week. They face South Carolina in a doubleheader in Columbia, S.C. Thursday, March 26 at 5 p.m., followed by a three-game series with conference foe USC Upstate Saturday and Sunday.
