JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida (17-9) had its 11-game win streak snapped in the seven-inning nightcap of today's doubleheader against Bradley (16-5). The Ospreys took game one, 8-4 and the Braves hung on to a 4-3 game two victory.

Game One
Red-Shirt sophomore Tyler DuPont recorded his team-leading fourth win of the season after pitching into the sixth inning. He pitched five scoreless innings until allowing the first two runners to reach in the sixth. Of the four runs that scored that frame, three ended up on DuPont's final stat line. DuPont struck out one batter and did not walk a batter in his fifth start of the year.

Like it had for the two previous games, the Osprey offense supplied plenty of run support and scored the game's first seven runs. Corbin Olmstead got the Ospreys on the scoreboard in the second inning with his seventh double of the season. He plated Ryan Roberson and later scored on a James Abbatinozzi RBI ground out to make the score 2-0.

The Ospreys added to their lead in their next turn at the plate with two more runs. Garrick Ferguson scored on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Brooks after legging out his second triple of the year to lead-off the inning. Donnie Dewees scored the first of his game-high, three runs in the third inning, advancing on wild pitch to make it a four-run Osprey advantage.

For the second-straight game, Roberson put forth a multiple-RBI effort. His double to left center in the bottom of the fifth, plated two runs and gave the Ospreys a 7-0 lead. Roberson was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored in the first game.

Dewees capped the Osprey offense in game one with a solo home run to right center field. The long ball was his sixth of the year and ties him for the Atlantic Sun Conference lead.

Game Two
After the Ospreys scored the game's first run on an RBI single by Patrick Ervin in the second inning, the Braves quickly knotted the game up in the top of the third on a two-out single by Tyler Leffler.

Bradley captured their first lead of the series with a three-run rally in the top of the fourth. With one out, North Florida starting pitcher, Bryan Baker surrendered a walk and an infield single to start the Bradley rally. The next batter, Evan Gruener, drove a pitch into right center field that hopped over the wall for a ground-rule double. Consecutive RBI singles by Allan Beer and Isaac Smith put the Braves on top, 4-1.

The Ospreys did their best to claw their way back but ran out of opportunities. Keith Skinner singled home Ryan Roberson in the fourth who led the inning off with a double. The two bagger was Roberson's second of the day and seventh this season. In the fifth, Dewees doubled home Patrick Ervin to pull the Ospreys within a run.

Bradley reliever Matt Dennis was able to hold the Ospreys scoreless over the last two innings to earn his five save.

The Ospreys will be home at Harmon Stadium in eight of their next nine games. On Tuesday night, North Florida will host Savannah St. before traveling down to Daytona Beach on Wednesday to face Bethune-Cookman. Both games are scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch.
