FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The North Florida basketball team saw its four-game win streak snapped Tuesday night at Bud Walton Arena as Arkansas capitalized on a strong inside performance for a 97-72 victory over the Ospreys.

UNF (10-5), the top three-point shooting team in the nation, connected on 10 treys marking the ninth consecutive game the Ospreys have made double-digit treys. However, North Florida was unable to overcome the Razorbacks' 52-28 rebounding advantage and a differential of 60-20 scoring in the paint.

"I thought we were competitive but didn't shoot the ball as well as we have been shooting it," said head coach Matthew Driscoll. "When we have a rebounding deficit like tonight, it is extremely hard to win games against any teams but especially athletic teams like Arkansas. I felt like they executed their plan of pounding the ball inside and crashing the boards so give them credit. We had some opportunities in the second half but couldn't get the stops we needed. We will take a couple days off and then get back to work and figure out ways to improve on the glass."

Dallas Moore led the way for UNF finishing with 17 points while handing out seven assists. Trent Mackey, the nation's top three-point shooter, connected on five treys en route to 16 points while Demarcus Daniels also reached double figures chipping in 12.

Arkansas (6-5) had a pair of players top the 20-point mark with Anthlon Bell scoring 20 and Moses Kingsley netting 22 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots. The Razorbacks also handed out 27 assists to go along with their 21 offensive rebounds.

The game was tightly contested through the opening five minutes, before a 10-3 spurt midway through the half pushed the Arkansas lead to double figures, 30-19. Arkansas would widen the margin to 13 late in the period, but UNF scored eight straight points highlighted by back-to-back treys from Moore and Mackey trimming the deficit to five. The Hogs converted a three-point play in the closing seconds to hold a 49-41 halftime lead.

UNF struggled early in the second half going scoreless for the first five minutes as Arkansas nearly doubled their lead. The Ospreys got on track behind a three from Mackey along with five straight points by Aaron Bodager pulling to within nine, 58-49, with 12:53 remaining.

From that point, the Razorbacks slowly built their lead and closed out the game with the final 10 points to earn the final margin.

North Florida will take a few days off for the Christmas holiday before returning to the hardwood on Dec. 30 at VCU.
