ITA Kick-Off Weekend2015 UNF Online Almanac CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Elite competition is how University of North Florida women's tennis will begin its spring season. The Ospreys are one of 60 women's teams playing in the 2015 ITA Kick-Off Weekend with a berth to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships on the line.
"This weekend is a great opportunity to start off the season with two tough matches," said fourth-year head coach
Audra Cohen. "Our goal for this weekend is to enjoy competing and be confident with the work we have put in over the last few weeks and throughout the fall."
There are 15 host sites nationwide with four teams competing at each site. It is the first time UNF's women's team has participated in the prestigious tournament.
UNF travels down to Miami and will be in a four-team tournament with No. 13 Miami, No. 30 Florida State and No. 53 USF at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. The Ospreys begin play on Saturday with the Hurricanes and then will face either Florida State or USF on Sunday in either consolation or championship play.
The Ospreys come off a solid fall campaign. The Ospreys captured multiple flight championships at both the Mercer Bear Gridiron Classic and the Bedford Cup. UNF saw players advanced to the consolation singles finals round at the Miami Hurricane Invitational and the Dick Vitale Lakewood Ranch Clay Court Classic. Meanwhile,

Play at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend begins for the Ospreys at 10 a.m., on Saturday.
