JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida women's basketball plays its second away conference game on Wednesday when the Ospreys travel to defending Atlantic Sun champion Florida Gulf Coast. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m., at Alico Arena and will air live on ESPN3.

"Florida Gulf Coast is a very strong team that is also coming off a close win in its first Atlantic Sun game of the season," said head coach Mary Tappmeyer. "This is a team that likes to shoot the three-point shot and is very fundamentally sound. We've seen a variety of styles of play during the non-conference portion of our schedule. We did that so it would help prepate us for the teams in the A-Sun. We know that we have to play our game and be defensively sound and mentally strong."

UNF fell in its Atlantic Sun opener on Saturday against cross-town rival Jacksonville at Veterans Memorial Arena. After an Osprey turnover, the Dolphins scored the game-winner with 0.6 seconds in order to get the 54-52 victory.
