"It's our first road game and we're excited for the opportunity that it presents," said head coach
Mary Tappmeyer. "This will be a great test for our young team."
Hitting the Road: The Ospreys' six road games is their longest stretch away from UNF Arena since opening the 2006-07 season with a 10-game road trip (three neutral site games, seven away contests). This year's six-game span includes five away games and one neutral-site contest.
Bench Production: UNF's bench players have accounted for 86 of the Ospreys' 121 points through the first two games.
Two Games, Two Career Highs: Sophomore
Bailey Florin has set a new career high for points in each of the Ospreys' first two games this season. Coming into the year, Florin's career high was 15 points. She scored a then-career-best 16 point against Georgia State. That mark was quickly beat as Florin tallied 19 points against Edward Waters on Tuesday.
…And Two Games, Two Double-Doubles: Additionally, the Ospreys have notched one double-double in each of their first two games.
Paulina Zaveckaite tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds in the season-opener, while
Caitlyn Spane had an 11-point, 17-rebound performance on Tuesday against Edward Waters.
Scouting Miami: Comes into Friday with a 1-1 record… opened the season with a 66-53 win over Oakland on their Elementary School Day, but suffered a 53-48 setback at Middle Tennessee on Monday… starts a seven-game homestand with Fridays' game… Jessica Thomas is averaging a team-best 12.0 points per game, while Adrienne Motley averages 10.5 points per game… Syriya McGuire has an 8.0 rebound-per-game average.
UNF-Miami Series: The Hurricanes lead the all-time series 3-0 and won 79-39 during last year's season-opening game on Nov. 8, 2013.
