#WGolf Slips to 4th After Sluggish Round 2 at LPGA-Xavier Invitational

DAYTONA, Fla. -- The North Florida women's golf team slipped to fourth place at the LPGA Xavier Invitational following a sluggish second round score of 311 on Saturday at the LPGA International Hills Course.
The Ospreys, who own a 36-hole total of 612, were led by freshman Meghan Bennett and sophomore Nathalie Nygren with matching rounds of 77 (+5). Nygren's performance allowed her to remain among the Top 10 individuals, sitting in seventh place heading into the final round of play.
Saturday's best round for UNF belonged to junior Kelly Aylwin with a 3-over par 75. Aylwin, playing as an individual, climbed into a tie for 13th at 152 through two rounds.
Junior newcomer Mary Dawson joins Nygren in the Top 20 after ending the day tied for 19th at 154 includind a second round 78. Juniors Emelie Alpe and Belinda George each carded rounds of 79 to rank tied for 23rd (155) and tied fore 28th (156), respectively.
Tournament action at the LPGA Xavier Invitational concludes with a final round Sunday, teeing off with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. North Florida will be paired with Xavier and Boston College on the final day.
