No. 62 Men's Tennis Faces No. 75 Louisiana in Home Opener

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of North Florida men's tennis team will play in front of a home crowd for the first time in 2013 on Monday afternoon, as they welcome the 75th-ranked Rajin' Cajuns of Louisiana to UNF for a 2 p.m. match.
The No. 62 Ospreys are 1-4 after five road matches, only one of which was against an unranked team. Last year, UNF boasted a sterling 11-2 record within the friendly confines of the UNF Tennis Complex.
The Rajin' Cajuns enter Monday's match with a 2-3 record, with all three losses coming against nationally-ranked foes. In their last match, UL dropped a 4-3 decision at No. 54 Miami, 4-3.
While UL did not have any representatives on the latest ITA Singles Rankings or ITA Doubles Rankings, they have been led by Freshman Jake Wynan, who has posted a 14-1 overall record this year, including a 7-1 mark in singles play.
For UNF, senior Moritz Buerchner is the lone Osprey ranked by the ITA in singles play, checking in at No. 62. Buerchner also pairs with sophomore Norbert Nemcsek to form the 20th-ranked doubles pairing in the country.
