DeLAND
, Fla. – Powered by a strong offense, the University of North Florida volleyball team swept Stetson 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-12) Friday evening in what was the Atlantic Sun opener for both teams.

The Ospreys (6-7, 1-0 A-Sun) recorded a season-best .356 attack percentage for the match. The team dominated both the second and third sets, hitting .400 and .556, respectively.

Paige Pridgeon had the match's only double-double with a match-best 10 kills and 10 digs. Meanwhile Anna Budinska and Cameron McGuire did not commit a single attack error.

The first set was closely contested as four points was the largest lead to be held by either team. With the score tied 12-12, a kill by Marija Pantovic sparked a four-point run for UNF. Stetson (2-8, 0-1 A-Sun) rallied to ultimately take a one-point 18-17 lead. The two teams fought back-and-forth for the next few points. However, with the score tied at 21-all, a McGuire kill was the first of four-straight points that allowed the Ospreys to take the set.

An early eight-point run in the second set gave UNF an early lead. The Ospreys got up to an 11-point advantage late when Carolyn Jenkins' kill made it a 21-10 set. Stetson chipped away at UNF's lead, but a Budinska kill sealed the set for the Ospreys.

The third set was all UNF. The Ospreys did not commit a single attack error, while forcing the Hatters to commit seven errors. Plays by Dagnija Medina bookend a 13-2 run. Medina had the kill that started the run and then served out the final three points to close out the set and the match.

Kaylee Ream led Stetson with 10 kills, while Monique Russell had a team-best 10 digs. Stetson hit .031 for the match.

UNF returns to action tomorrow at Florida Gulf Coast. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
