The
The Ospreys goal is simple this year: finish one spot higher than the last three seasons. That would give UNF a first-place finish after the team has finished as the tournament runner-up the last three years.
Whether the Ospreys come out of the championship – held at Chateau Elan Golf Club – as the team champion or not, a good showing next week could seal a spot in an NCAA Regional for UNF. The Ospreys are ranked 47th in the latest Golfstat poll, coming into the event next week as the second highest ranked team in the conference behind
The Ospreys have run up against ETSU once this season, with the teams finishing tied with each other at the General Jim Hackler Championship in March.

Notables: Jeff Dennis put forth his best showing of the season in UNF's last event, finishing tied for fifth at the Bank of America Intercollegiate, opening the event with a 68 before closing it out with a 2-under-par 70 … Dennis was an all-conference selection the last two seasons … Jordan Gibb recorded a top-20 finish at the Bank of America Intercollegiate, finishing tied for 17th after he closed out the event with a 69 … UNF will hit the course Monday morning, with tee times beginning at 10:30 a.m. … the Ospreys are grouped with ETSU and Campbell in the opening round … not only is a conference championship on the line next week, but also a point in the SunTrust River City Rumble standings with Jacksonville … the team that finishes higher in the event will earn its school a point toward capturing the SunTrust Old Wooden Barrel … UNF captured the point last year, bettering JU by 20 strokes at the conference championship.
