JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The University of North Florida women's tennis team had its six-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday, dropping a 4- 3 match to cross-town rival Jacksonville. The loss brings the No. 9 Lady Ospreys record to 15-4 on the season, including an 8-1 showing in Peach Belt Conference play.

After losing in doubles, North Florida was able to salvage a split in singles, with its No. 4, 5 and 6 positions earning victories in straight sets. UNF's top three positions were all defeated, as No. 35 Yevgeniya Barysheva and Liliana Hung were taken down in straight sets, and Katja Brandt fell in three.

The Lady Ospreys will face off against its toughest opponent yet, as No. 2 Armstrong Atlantic State comes to town to wrap up UNF's regular season schedule on Thursday April 7.

The Lady Pirates enter the match with a 19-0 mark, including a 9-0 record in the PBC. If North Florida can defeat AASU, the two teams will share the regular season title. If the Lady Pirates win, they will be in first by themselves.

The match at UNF is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the UNF Tennis Complex.
