DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- A match that on paper looked to have the makings of a classic duel between two top squads turned out to be quite the opposite on Sunday, as No. 6 Barry took down No. 9 North Florida 7-2.
The loss drops the Lady Ospreys record against top 10 ranked teams to 1-3 on the season. Overall, UNF falls to 9-3 with a 3-1 Peach Belt Conference record.
After doubles, North Florida found itself down 2-1, and seemed to have nothing left in singles. All three of Barry's ranked players were victorious in singles, dropping just one set combined.
With the win, the Blue Hose improved its record to 11-2 overall.
UNF will next be in action on March 22 when they travel to take on No. 27 Clayton College and State at 2 p.m.
