- First President of the Osprey Club, serving two terms — 1982-83 and 1983-84
- Harmon Stadium, home of UNF Baseball, is named in his honor
- The Doug Harmon Endowed Baseball Scholarship was established in his honor
- Was instrumental in the development and construction of the UNF Tennis Complex, the first athletic facility on campus
- Honorary UNF Athletics letterwinner
