Adam Herbert

• Dominant force in the building of UNF during his tenure as President from 1989 to 1998

• Helped guide UNF Athletics transition from the NAIA to NCAA Division II

• Elected Chairman of NCAA Division II Presidents Council

• Secured facility funding for: UNF Arena, Hodges Stadium, UNF Tennis Complex, Hayt Golf Learning Center, Lighting for Harmon Stadium

• Oversaw addition of men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and softball as varsity sports at UNF

• Resigned as UNF’s president in 1998 to become Chancellor of the State University System

• Returned to UNF campus in 2001 to become the director of the Florida Center for Public Policy and Leadership
