The men's and women's basketball teams took on all comers this past season, playing a very challenging 2009-10 schedule.  The two teams faced 14 teams, in a combined 20 games, who earned invitations to post-season play.  Each team faced seven of those teams in 10 total games, meaning about a third of each team's schedule was against tournament teams.

The North Florida men’s basketball team fell 57-49 to Campbell on Saturday, Feb. 27, at UNF Arena in the final regular season game of the year.  The Ospreys, the No. 7 seed in the in the upcoming General Shale Brick Atlantic Sun Championships, March 3-6, in Macon, Ga., will face crosstown rival and No. 2 seed Jacksonville University on Wednesday, March 3, at 9 p.m. at the University Center in Macon.

East Tennessee State used a 15-4 run over a 6:51 span at the end of the first half and the start of the second to push a five point lead to 16 and held on for a 61-46 win over North Florida on Thursday, Feb. 25, at UNF Arena. Even with the loss, UNF clinched seventh-place in the upcoming General Shale Brick Atlantic Sun Championships, March 3-6, in Macon, Ga.

The North Florida men’s basketball team wraps up regular season play with a pair of games this week vs. East Tennessee State and Campbell.  The Ospreys face ETSU on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7:45 p.m. and Campbell on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. on Senior Night.  Both games are at UNF Arena and are the second game of a doubleheader with the UNF women.

The University of North Florida will be broadcast on ASun.TV five times during the week of Monday, Feb. 22, through Sunday, Feb. 28. Four of the broadcasts consist of a pair of basketball doubleheaders with both men’s and women’s basketball being broadcast two times each. In addition, UNF softball will host a game at the UNF Softball Complex which will be featured on ASun.TV.
