The University of North Florida softball team fell, 1-0, to Maryland in extra innings, but fought back in their second game of the day to defeat No. 16/17 (ESPN/NFCA Top 25) Ohio State, 1-0. Senior pitcher Devyn Findley tossed a complete game in UNF's shutout of OSU.

Men's Cross Country

Junior William Pearce finished on top for the men in the NCAA Regional Qualifier with a 63rd place finish in a time of 32:44.00. This was the first time the Ospreys have competed in the NCAA Regionals.

Paige Pridgeon OH#6

Volleyball

Outside hitter Paige Pridgeon was named the 2009 Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year.

Pridgeon averaged 3.12 kills per set, was second on the team in kills, and was the highest ranked freshman in the conference, eighth overall. She led the league in aces, with 50 on the season. Pridgeon finished seventh in the conference in points per set, averaging 3.70. On the defensive side, Pridgeon tallied 2.63 digs per set.
